River Bluff's women's cross country team won the Hanna 3K Home Meet on Wednesday in Anderson. The Gators placed five runners in the top twelve spots to edge out host T.L. Hanna by two points, or just a little over three total seconds.
Hayden Hindman finished second overall in the field of 62 runners. Lily Dixon was right on her heels, coming in third. Sasha Gelfond crossed the line in sixth, Abbi Brown finished ninth, and Effie Floyd came in 12th.
Genna Savage (21st) and Caroline Near (22nd) rounded out the scoring to give the Gators the win.
"The team ran very well on a challenging course against good competition," said Head Coach Cameron Starr after the race. "This definitely gives the group a confidence boost going into the Pelican's Invitational next week at Lexington High School."
