Women's XC: Gators Finish 3rd at Lake Murray Invitational

River Bluff's women's cross country team finished an impressive third in a loaded 28-team field at Saturday's Lake Murray Invitational in Chapin.
Savannah Davis continues to impress. The Gator senior finished in third place overall out of 237 runners. Savannah's 18:58.78 is the 3rd fastest time in school history.
River Bluff finished 47 points behind race-winner Heathwood Hall and just nine behind region foe Chapin. The Gators came in seven points ahead of Lexington and 32 ahead of Dorman, which rounded out the top five.
Head Coach Cameron Starr heaped positive praise on his team following the race: "I'm really proud of our collective effort today. I think we walked away knowing that we raced better than we did the last time out, and we took a step towards being the team we want to be at the end of the season when it matters most."
