River Bluff's women's wrestling team won their first two rounds of the SCHSL AAAAA Wrestling Duals Playoffs on Thursday, sending the Gators to their second state semifinal match in as many seasons.
River Bluff, the third seed, will square off against the number-two seeded Greenwood Eagles on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Dreher High School. The winner of that match will face the winner of the Rock Hill-Blythewood match for the State Championship at 1:15 p.m. later that day.
River Bluff is only in their second year of existence as a girls' program. Last year, Greenwood defeated the Gators by an individual match in the semifinals, making Saturday's contest a rematch.
Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online at Gofan.co(Opens in a new window)
