Women's Tennis: Gators Drop Tight Match to Lexington 4-3, Earn Share of Region Crown

River Bluff's women's varsity tennis team fell to Lexington 4-3 in the last region match of the season. The loss gave the Gators and Wildcats a share of the region championship, with each team losing only one region match - to each other. River Bluff defeated Lexington earlier in the season 5-1, a better margin of victory, which gives the Gators the higher seed in the AAAAA-Division I Lower State playoffs.

The postseason kicks off this week on Thursday, but River Bluff will have a first-round bye. They will host the second-round match on Tuesday, October 28 and, with a win, the third-round match as well on Thursday, October 30. The SCHSL will release the official playoff bracket on Tuesday of this week.
