Women's Lacrosse: Gators Down Dutch Fork 16-6 in Round 1

River Bluff defeated Dutch Fork in dominant fashion 16-6 in The Swamp on Monday night's first round of the SCHSL AAAAA Women's Lacrosse Playoffs. The Gators saw an early lead dissipate only to respond with an overwhelming offensive display to win the match going away.

The win vaults the 10-7 Gators into the second round where they will travel to Carolina Forest on Friday to face the 11-4 Panthers.

Carolina Forest was undefeated in region play, earning them the number two seed in the Lower State bracket. On paper, the two teams are very similar, with a slight edge in goals scored to the Panthers. The winner of the match will play the winner of the Lexington-Wando game for the Lower State Championship.
