Women's Hoops: Gators' Comeback Comes Up Short in 46-41 Loss to Irmo

An impressive second half, in which River Bluff's women's basketball team bested the visiting Irmo Yellow Jackets, was not quite enough to overcome a six-point first-half deficit, and the Gators fell to Irmo 46-41 on Tuesday night in The Chomp House.

Jenna Johnson recorded a double-double for the Gators with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Meghan Tucker added 14 points to join Johnson as River Bluff's leading scorers.

River Bluff will host Chapin on Friday night. The women's JV team will tip off at 5 p.m., and the varsity will follow at 6:15 p.m. Both games will be in the main gym and are a part of a five-game evening featuring both the men's and women's programs. It will also be the Stewart Law Offices High School Hoops game presented by WACH Fox 57.
