Women's Cross Country: Gators Take 3rd in State Qualifier, Will Compete for State on Saturday

River Bluff's women's cross country team finished third in their AAAAA-Division I grouping on Saturday and tied for fourth overall to earn a spot in the State Championship race this Saturday, November 15th, at 11 a.m. The meet will be held at the Aiken Steeplechase in Aiken, SC.
Gator runner Savannah Davis finished in 3rd place, and the top four runners for River Bluff all finished inside the top twenty. Abby Tinsman placed 12th, Madelyn Cathey placed 17th, Leah Esber placed 19th, and Braelyn Davis placed 26th to round out the scoring for the Gators. Hayden Hindman (37th) and Taylor Denny (44th) also ran great races for River Bluff.
"This was our best team race of the season. The girls did a great job communicating and supporting one another throughout the race. With one race left, we're excited and ready for next week's State Championship," said head coach Cameron Starr after the qualifier.
