Women's Basketball: River Bluff Trounces Brookland-Cayce 67-20

River Bluff exploded for 23 first-quarter points in its home opener against Brookland-Cayce Tuesday night while holding the Bearcats to just four, and never looked back, earning a dominating 67-20 victory.

Chaelyn Tifre led the Gators with a double-double of 18 points (7-for-11 from the field and 4-for-4 from the free throw line) and 10 rebounds. Jenna Johnson also recorded a double-double for River Bluff with 12 points and 12 rebounds.

River Bluff will travel to Lugoff-Elgin on Friday. The women's JV team will tip off at 6 p.m., and the varsity squad will follow at 7:30.
