Women's Basketball: River Bluff Dominates Indian Land 60-29 to Improve to 5-3 on Season

River Bluff's varsity women's basketball team improved its record to 5-3 with a 60-29 drubbing of the visiting Warriors from Indian Land on Tuesday night.
The game was never in question, as the Gators jumped out to a quick lead and finished the first quarter up 26-6. Gator forward Jenna Johnson led the team in points with 19 and was one rebound away from a double-double. Evie Godfrey added 14 points, and Chaelyn Tifre had 13 points, eight rebounds, and six steals.
River Bluff is 2-1 over their last three games, with the loss coming at the hands of Ridge View 45-32 on Saturday. Chaelyn Tifre recorded her second double-double in as many days to lead the Gators in the defeat with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Just the day before, the Gators took down Lugoff-Elgin on the road 69-57. Tifre had 18 points and 10 rebounds in the contest. Godfrey added 17 points to help lead River Bluff to victory.
The Gators will travel to AC Flora on Friday to take on the Falcons. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
