Women's Basketball: Gators Take on Wildcats in Round 2 of State Tourney

River Bluff's women's basketball team will travel cross-town to face their rivals, the Lexington Wildcats, on Friday night for round two of the AAAAA Lower State Playoffs.

The matchup, which tips off at 6:30 p.m., will be the third meeting between these two Region IV foes.

The Gators are hoping the third time's a charm.

While Lexington dominated River Bluff in their last game 43-22, earlier in the season, River Bluff only lost by three, 40-37, at home.

The Wildcats are the number two-seed in the Lower State bracket and as a result, got a first-round bye. The seventh-seeded Gators blew out Ft. Dorchester, the ten-seed, 58-11 in the opening round on Monday night.
