Volleyball: River Bluff Goes 10-0 in Region with 3-1 Win Over Lexington, Playoffs Next

River Bluff's varsity volleyball team capped off an undefeated run through Region 4-AAAAA with a 3-1 win over rival Lexington on Thusday.

Senior Caroline Tucker and sophomore Peyton Capps led the Gators offensively with 22 and 21 spikes respectively in the match at Lexington. Sophomore Kinsey Murphy filled in for injured Gator standout Alexis Jodie in a big way by racking up 51 assists.

The second set loss is the only set River Bluff lost in their ten region contests.

The Gators will have this week to prepare for the postseason with a first-round bye on Wednesday. They will return to action on Monday, October 27, at home in the Chomp House for round two of the AAAAA-Division I Lower State playoffs. The official brackets should be released by the SCHSL early this week.
