Volleyball: Gators Sweep Irmo, Remain Unbeaten in Region Play

River Bluff's varsity volleyball team defeated Irmo on the road Tuesday night, 3-0. The Gators are now 7-0 in region play, with matches remaining against Chapin, Dutch Fork, and Lexington.

The Gators were led by sophomores Peyton Capps and Lucy Johnson in kills, with 11 and 10, respectively. Johnson added 6 aces, and Kinley Webster had 5. Alexis Jodie led the team in assists again with 13.

River Bluff has beaten each region team once and White Knoll and Irmo twice. The Gators have yet to drop a set against region opponents.

On Thursday, River Bluff (21-10, 7-0) will host Chapin (16-2-1, 6-1). A win for the Gators will give them the region championship. The JV match is set for 5:30, and the varsity contest should start immediately after, around 7 p.m.
