Volleyball: Gators Down Nation Ford 3-1 in High-Profile Contest on Tuesday

River Bluff faced Nation Ford in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Gators came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 3-1. For the Gators, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 victory the Falcons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

River Bluff had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 27-25, 25-17, 25-17.

River Bluff can attribute much of its success to Caroline Brownlee, who had 15 digs and five assists. Those five assists gave Brownlee a new career-high.

River Bluff was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Nation Ford only served seven aces.

The win made it two in a row for River Bluff and bumps their season record up to 6-2. As for Nation Ford, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-3.

Looking ahead, River Bluff will take on Porter-Gaud in a tournament on Friday.
