Volleyball: Gators Down Chapin 3-0, Claim Region 4-AAAAA Crown!

River Bluff's volleyball team remained unbeaten and atop the Region 4-AAAAA standings with a 3-0 shutout of Chapin on Thursday night in The Chomp House at River Bluff.

Caroline Ticker led the way with 14 kills, while Karis Kettering recorded seven service aces. Alexis Jodie added 27 assists in the effort.

The Gators (22-10, 8-0) will finish up region play next week against Dutch Fork and Lexington. First, though, they will square off against some elite competition this weekend at an invitational tournament at Wando. River Bluff will start on Friday at 5 p.m. against Ashley Hall and will follow that with a 7 p.m. match vs Nation Ford. Then, on Saturday, the Gators will start the day taking on Bishop England at 9:30 a.m., followed by North Myrtle Beach at 11:30 a.m., and Lucy Beckham at 1:30 p.m.

With Thursday's win, River Bluff has earned the Region 4-AAAAA Championship crown.
