River Bluff grabbed the victory Tuesday night against Mid-Carolina in walk-off fashion, 3-2.

The Gators didn't cross the plate until the sixth inning, when Ava Grace Perry hit in Annslee Crumpton, which cut the Rebels' lead in half 2-1.

Then in the bottom of the seventh inning, with one out, Alexis Jodie cranked a line drive past the diving Mid-Carolina right fielder, sending the ball to the far corner. As Jodie sped around second, Head Coach Tony Ferreira waved his senior home. Jodie beat the throw and tied the game on an inside-the-park home run.

Two outs later and with the bases loaded, Perry hit a ground ball that was bobbled by the second baseman, allowing her to reach first base, scoring Blaire Gillcrese and winning the game for the Gators.

Jodie earned the win, coming on in relief and giving up just one run on four hits and striking out three over three innings. Crumpton started the game for the Gators, going four innings, giving up a run and a hit, and striking out five. Jodie was 2-for-3 at the plate with an RBI and a run.
