Softball: Gators Take Care of South Aiken 12-3

River Bluff's Alexis Jodie smacked a two-run homer in the top of the first inning and the Gators never looked back, defeating the South Aiken Thoroughbreds 12-3.
The Gators added four runs in the second inning and Caroline Tucker homered in the third, scoring two to give River Bluff an early 8-0 lead.
South Aiken would score one run in both the third and fourth innings. But, then, River Bluff added four more runs in their half of the fifth to increase their lead to 12-2.
The Thoroughbreds could only muster one more run, coming in the bottom of the sixth inning, and River Bluff walked away with a dominating 12-3 win.
Gabby Fryer and Blythe Sanders had three hits each on five at-bats. Fryer had two doubles, RBIs and three runs. Sanders had three RBIs and two doubles as well. Jodie went two-for-four with three RBIs and three runs. Brooker Graham hit two-for-three with two runs. Every batter in the River Bluff lineup recorded a hit on the night.
Meghan Tucker earned the win, giving up just one hit and one unearned run while striking out two over one and two-thirds innings. Sarah Price started the game for River Bluff and pitched a solid five innings, surrendering four hits and two runs while striking out three.
