A walkoff homerun to center field vaulted Pelion over River Bluff 17-15 on Wednesday at Pelion. After jumping out to an early 6-3 lead after two innings, River Bluff's bats went silent for the next three innings, while the Panthers accumulated eleven more runs over that same time to take a 14-6 lead.

Both teams added a run in the sixth. Then, the Gators' bats woke back up in the seventh, putting eight runs on the board to tie the game at 15. In the final half inning of the game, though, Pelion hit a two-run homer over the center field wall to take the win.

Lexie Jodie and Blythe Sanders led the way at the Plate for the Gators in this high-scoring affair. Jodie went four-for-five with a homerun, a double, five runs batted in, and three runs scored. Sanders put up similar numbers - four-for-five, a homerun, a double, three RBI, and two runs scored.
