Softball: Gators Down Stratford 7-6 on Crumpton's Walk-Off Triple

The River Bluff Gators softball team won game one of the SCHSL AAAAA-Division I Lower State playoffs against Stratford 7-6 on a walk-off triple by Anslee Crumpton. The eighth-grader found herself down 6-5, with teammates on first and second, two outs in the bottom half of the seventh inning, and one strike away from defeat. She worked the count to 2-2, fouling off strikes until she made solid contact on a line drive to center field, scoring two runs and securing the win in walk-off style.
Lexie Jodie got the complete game win, giving up six runs (four earned) on nine hits and striking out ten.

River Bluff advances to play against Lexington on Tuesday night in the winners bracket of District Four of the Lower State Playoffs. Win or lose the Gators will play again on Friday.
