Softball: Gators Dominate Dutch Fork 12-2

After building a 5-0 lead through five innings, River Bluff poured it on in the sixth inning, adding seven runs to give the Gators a 12-2 win in six innings at Dutch Fork on Tuesday.

Alexis Jodie went the distance from the circle for River Bluff giving up just two runs on three hits and striking out eight to earn the win.

Jodie also led the Gators at the plate, going three-for-four with a triple and two doubles. The senior scored a run and drove in three more.

River Bluff hosts Lexington on Thursday in a game that could determine the Region IV-AAAAA champion. First pitch for the JV game is scheduled for 5:30 and the varisty game will follow around 7:15 p.m.
