For the second game in a row, River Bluff's varsity softball team recorded ten hits in a game. Where the former only produced five runs and, as a result, a loss, the latter generated twelve and a win.
The Gators scored early and often Friday night at home against Dutch Fork, notching five runs in the first inning, three in both the second and third innings, and one more in the fourth. All the while, Lexie Jodie's brilliant pitching performance held the Silver Foxes hitless, surrendering just one run, which came in the top half of the first inning, and striking out seven. Due to the ten-run rule, the game was called after the fifth inning with River Bluff walking away with a 12-1 victory.
The win keeps the Gators undefeated in region play and improves their overall record to 10-6.
