River Bluff is hosting the Battle at the Bluff competitive cheer competition on Saturday, October 4th.
Here is some helpful information for spectators:
  • We are respectfully REQUESTING that fans leave after their team's award ceremony. We understand that fans and athletes may want to stay to support later teams. Fans may re-enter the main doors IF they get their hand stamped. Athletes in uniform are not permitted to come through the spectator doors without paying the spectator fee. So to avoid any confusion, IF an athlete from an earlier session is planning to stay, then she/he should not LEAVE the gym area.
  • Event shirts will be on sale in the lobby and the cafeteria for $25-$30. We have long-sleeved and short-sleeved options!
  • We will have a full concession stand with pizza, Chick-fil-A, nachos, etc. However, River Bluff does not allow food or drink in the main gym, so all food must be consumed in the lobby area. Nothin’ Bundt Cakes will also be on site, selling their delicious cakes!
  • All spectators will enter the school at the “Spectator Entrance” which is located at the “Gym and Performing Arts Center” Entrance. Admission for spectators is $10; SCHSL passes will be honored. Fans may return for later sessions but must get hand-stamped to return or will have to pay the $10 admission to re-enter.
  • Lexington School District One does have a CLEAR BAG POLICY.
  • Spectators should enter the campus in the Main Entrance (1st one off of Hwy 378 & I-20, 3rd one from the Lake Murray dam). This is marked as Entrance A. Those arriving early will be able to drive around the school to the side to park at the gym and by the café. We will have overflow parking in front of the school. For those arriving later, there will be a bit of a “stroll” to get to the entrance. Please direct any handicapped individuals directly to the gym entrance. See map for details.
  • Finally, all cheer bags should be left in the cafeteria (to preserve seating in the gym). ONLY athletes and their coaches are permitted in the cafeteria. At the conclusion of each awards ceremony, if teams are not boarding buses to leave campus, they should plan to gather their belongings and walk back into the main gym lobby (not the other way around).
