River Bluff High School Names Christina Lunetta as Head Girls’ Wrestling Coach
LEXINGTON, SC – June 10, 2026 – River Bluff High School is proud to announce Christina Lunetta as the new Head Coach of the Girls’ Wrestling program. A dedicated leader and foundational builder of the sport within the Lexington community, Lunetta steps into the head role after serving as the program's assistant varsity coach for the past two years, continuing to build upon the program's foundation of success.
Coach Lunetta’s wrestling journey at River Bluff is a story of dedication and growth. She has been an integral part of the girls’ wrestling program since its very inception, originally serving as a volunteer coach when the team consisted of just a single athlete. Her long-term commitment has solidified her reputation as one of the region’s premier advocates for the sport.
“This is a special time to be a part of girls' wrestling as it continues to grow at the high school and collegiate level throughout our state, creating new opportunities for these young athletes,” said Lunetta. “I am excited to step into this role and continue helping our wrestlers pursue their goals both on the mat and in their lives outside of the wrestling room.”

- State Tournament Success: Qualified a total of eight girls for the individual state tournament, producing four state placers.
- Historic Milestones: Made program history by crowning River Bluff’s first individual state champion.
- Team Excellence: Secured two semi-final appearances in the team state playoffs and achieved a team ranking of 3rd overall in the state.
Commitment to Student-Athlete Development
Beyond the wrestling mat, Lunetta is widely recognized for her ability to elevate student-athletes in all areas of life. A familiar face within the school district, Lunetta also serves the Lexington County School District One community as the librarian at Carolina Springs Elementary School, seamlessly bridging academic support with athletic excellence.
