Men's Tennis: Gators Postseason Run Ends at Wando 5-1

The River Bluff men's tennis team's postseason came to a halt in the SCHSL AAAAA-Division I Lower State Semifinals at Wando, 4-1.

The top-seeded Warriors proved too much for the fifth seed Gators, who came into the match after ousting the number four seed Carolina Forest. River Bluff's lone win came from Braydon Jeffcoat at the number one singles spot 6-1, 6-1.

Gavin Hartman fell to Diego Bustamante 6-1, 6-0 at number two singles. Diego's brother Mateo had a tougher time, though, with Jonathan Roquemore, only winning 6-4, 7-6 in three singles. Fernando Castro fell to Vijay Pandey 6-1, 6-1 in four singles. Nacho Oria got the best of Gabe Conner 6-0, 6-4 in five singles. In a tight doubles match, Alex Whitsett and Jeffcoat fell to Blake Butler and Graham Anderson 7-6, 6-4.

The Gators finished ranked 12th in AAAAA in South Carolina.
