The River Bluff Gators played to a hard-fought 0-0 draw against Christ Church Cavaliers on Tuesday in a tightly contested matchup that saw River Bluff generate several dangerous chances.
The Gators appeared to have the edge in opportunities throughout the night, nearly breaking through in the 28th minute. Junior Mason Kleine delivered a well-placed free kick into the box that almost connected with fellow junior M.J. Estrada for a potential go-ahead goal.
River Bluff’s best look came in the second half in the 61st minute when senior Wade Douroux struck a shot that rattled off the top of the frame, just inches away from putting the Gators in front.
Defensively, senior goalkeeper Zach Stiles turned in a strong performance, helping secure the clean sheet and preserve the draw.
River Bluff now turns its attention to the regular season finale on the road at Brookland-Cayce tonight, looking to build momentum heading into postseason play.
