Men's LAX: Gators Move to 14-1 with Big Wins Over James Island and Philip Simmons

Setting a program record for most wins in a season, the Gators were dominant on Monday, April 20th, to fight off the Phillip Simmons Iron Horses 23-4.
Most notably, Jackson Register and Banks Smith both racked up five goals each. Followed by Olson Smith and Kyle Jenkins, both getting hat tricks with three goals apiece on the night. Also, scoring was Eric Brightbill and Oliver Price with two goals each, and Asher Peterson, Brandson Easter, and Jacob Granger with one.
The Gators also got it done on the defensive side with 12 caused turnovers. Michael Shields also had a game, ringing in a 95.8 faceoff win percentage, going 23 for 24.
The Gators head to Clover HS on Wednesday, April 22nd, in what should be a thrilling top 5 matchup. -Oliver Price
Prior to Monday's matchup, River Bluff downed James Island on Senior Night, April 16th, 17-6. The Seniors ruled the night for the Gators, scoring 15 of the team's 17 goals, led by Jackson Register's five, and Kyle Jenkins with four.
On the Defensive end, goalie Walker Coppney had 13 saves for an 81.3 save percentage overall. The Gators outscored the James Island Trojans in every quarter with a 5-0 differential in the 2nd.
The Gators led in all the major team statistics, such as ground balls and forced turnovers. The win moved the Gators at 13-1. -Michael Lawrence and Oliver Price
