Men's Lacrosse: Gators Hold Off Lexington 11-9

After jumping out to a 6-1 lead in the first quarter of Wednesday night's men's lacrosse match against Lexington, River Bluff had to quell a second-half comeback by the Wildcats to take a big 11-9 victory in The Swamp. With both squads sharing second place in region at 4-1 prior to the match, the win pushed the Gators into sole possession of second.

Eric Brightbill led the Gators in scoring with three goals, while Michael Shields anf Filip Livingston each added two goals. Kyle Jenkins, Smith Olson, Justice Skeen, and Jackson Register all contributed one goal apiece. Shields held the advantage in faceoffs 17-7 and Walker Coppney saved eleven shots at the goalie position.

The win improves River Bluff's record to 11-1 and 5-1 in region. Wednesday's victory is the Gators' fourth in a row.
