Men's Golf: Gators Sit in 5th After Round One

The Gators shot a +2 282 as a team on Thursday in the opening round of the three-day Palmetto High School Golf Championship in Pawley's Island.

Caledonia Fish and Golf Club was the site for round one for the Gators. Howie Vroon and Maddox McCamy both shot -2 scores of 68. Sam Booth came in at 71 (+1) and Cooper Raley finished his round with a 75 (+5) to round out the scoring. Isaiah Bayon posted a 75 as well. Vroon and McCamy are currently tied for eleventh overall in the 259-person field.

Round two for River Bluff's grouping will be at Tradition Golf Club on Friday. The Gators will start teeing off around 12:10 p.m.
