Men's Golf: Gators Finish in 14th at Southern Cross

River Bluff's men's golf team wrapped up a busy golf week by finishing in 14th place in an impressive field at the prestigious two-day Southern Cross tournament, held Friday and Saturday at the Palmetto Golf Club in Aiken.

After winning the Region Championship on Tuesday and the Lake Murray Cup on Wednesday, the Gators battled a field of elite teams and wet conditions on a challenging course on Friday and Saturday at The Southern Cross.

Gator senior Howie Vroon led the Gators, shooting nine over for a two-round total and finishing in the top 20 of the 102-player field.

River Bluff now sets its sights on the AAAAA-Division I Lower State Qualifier at Charleston Municipal on Monday, May 4, at 9 a.m.
