Spring sports season is quickly approaching. Here is some information for student-athletes interested in participating for River Bluff teams in the spring.
All student-athletes must complete the and submit the proper forms before participating. This includes a SCHSL sports physical.

- Players must have shin guards. Practices will take place at the stadium, track field, and upper field.

-Tryouts are open to any current 7-12th grader in the River Bluff attendance zone and will be held at Golden Hills Golf & Country Club at 4:00 on February 2 and continue until February 5th. Players will meet at the putting green at 4:00.
In order to participate in tryouts, you must have an up-to-date physical dated after April 1, 2025. All material must be entered into PlanetHS/BigTeams BEFORE tryouts.
Prospective players must contact Coach Roger Smith at RBHS if they plan to participate in tryouts.
Current in-season athletes should also communicate their intentions of trying out at the conclusion of their season.
To participate in tryouts:
● Players should bring their own clubs and golf balls to tryouts
● Dress in a golf-appropriate outfit. No denim is allowed on the golf course.
● Collared Shirts should be tucked in, and a belt should be worn.
● Parents should be prepared to pick up athletes at 5:30 each day of tryouts.
● Cuts will be made on Thursday, 2/5, unless the coaching staff determines more orless time is needed.
Minimum Expectations: Ability to complete 9 - 18 holes of golf in a timely manner while exhibiting a basic knowledge of the rules of golf and how to apply them during play.
