Fall Sports Recap: River Bluff Competitive Cheer Earns 5A-Division I State Runners-Up

River Bluff's competitive cheer team pulled off a near-flawless routine at Saturday's SCHSL AAAAA-Division I State Championship at the Colonial Life Arena. While it wasn't quite enough to win the crown, though, it was a magnificent representation of months of hard work and dedication. As a result, the Gators came back home to Lexington as state runners-up in an incredibly competitive division.

The second-place finish capped off another highly successful season for one of the premier programs in the state, one that saw River Bluff walk away with multiple competition wins, including the prestigious Debbie Rogers Classic, and a share of the Region title.

The Gators field a squad that competes at the highest level year in and year out. Despite graduating senior leadership, the team will be returning a group of impressive student-athletes, promising another incredible season next year.
