If Saturday's Debbie Rogers Cheer Classic was a tune-up for River Bluff's competitive cheer team, then the squad should be hitting on all cylinders for the upcoming state qualifiers on November 19 at White Knoll High School. River Bluff and its feeder schools all earned first-place finishes in their respective divisions.
River Bluff's varsity squad won the AAAAA-Division I competition, while the junior varsity team won the AAAAA-Division I JV contest. Lakeside came in first in the Middle School division, and Meadow Glen won the Middle School Coed division.
The Debbie Rogers Cheer Classic was held at the Colonial Life Arena and featured over 100 teams from across the state.
