Baseball: Gators Take on Sumter Tonight

River Bluff travels to Sumter to face the Gamecocks in a District 4 matchup of the SCHSL AAAAA-Division I Lower State Playoffs. River Bluff played their way back into this game from the loser's bracket and will need to take two to advance to the Lower State Championship against the District 3 winner.

Sumter upset a couple of higher seeds - Lexington and Carolina Forest - to remain unbeaten in the postseason and one win away from winning the District 4 bracket.

After a two-game sweep of Wando, the Gators fell to Carolina Forest, then rallied to defeat Lexington and Carolina Forest in their second matchup to make it to the final pairing. With a win Friday night, River Bluff will return for a home game on Saturday at 1 p.m.
