River Bluff fell behind to Gilbert in the second inning and could never recover, losing 10-4 on the road Tuesday evening.

Injuries have forced River Bluff to piece together a pitching staff that mixes in some unlikely candidates who have been called into action. Starter Dalton Corley began the game for the Gators. The senior pitched two innings, giving up four runs on four hits. Sophomore Hampton Pitts, who was called up from the JV squad, pitched one and two-thirds innings, giving up five runs on five hits. Senior Leo Zambrano pitched an inning and a third, surrendering one run on two hits. Junior Chase Still took the final inning, striking out one.
