Baseball: Gators Fall at Lexington 5-0

River Bluff couldn't find answers to Lexington's pitching on Tuesday night, falling to the Wildcats 5-0 on the road in the first game of a two-game region series between the two rivals this week.
Gator starter Dalton Corley picked up the loss, surrendering four runs on five hits and striking out six over four innings. Ashley Powell gave up a run on one hit with one strikeout in a third of an inning. Cooper Calhoun closed out the game for River Bluff, giving up a hit abd striking out two in one and two-thirds innings of work.
River Bluff will host Lexington on Thursday at 6 p.m. A win gives the Gators the Region IV-AAAAA crown. The Gators and Wildcats will meet once more on Friday in a non-region game at Lexington.
